Filling Your Well
Some of the ways I fill my well are: Torah study, prayer, meditation, time in nature, exercise, talking to loved ones, going on retreats. For some people it may be gardening, art (doing or appreciating), poetry, literature.
Right now, are you overflowing, or feeling dried up? What are your sources of inspiration? How do you refill your inner wellspring? Do you dip in regularly?

I fill my well by spending time in synagogue praying, meditating, studying and volunteering; Being with friends, family and nature and listening to and making music are some other ways I fill my well. Telling the people I love how I feel also fills my well.
I like to think of water from the underground as the liquid foundation of life. I think we are all about 90% water, aren’t we? So below the surface of our very bodies is a vast ocean that make up our inner selves. When I am dried up I turn to the ocean of my family. I love being with my grown children, their partners, and granddaughter. That’s the river that keeps me flowing.
I read that we are 60% water, but maybe it depends how hydrated you are 🙂 Reading your description of connecting with your family, I imagine a current of of love that is always flowing among family members. It’s wonderful that being with your family replenishes you and fills your well.
